As a sportsman, conservationist, and former outdoor educator, I have long worked to protect New Mexico’s public lands, watersheds, and wildlife for future generations.
Outdoor traditions on our public lands are at the core of New Mexico’s way of life. That’s why I am proud to work in partnership with New Mexicans in protecting and expanding access to places we love, like the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks and the Rio Grande del Norte National Monuments, White Sands National Park, the Gila River, and the Ojito Wilderness.
Even as climate change poses an existential threat to our land and water, solving it will be one of the greatest opportunities for New Mexico, as we work to restore healthy lands and waters, install and maintain clean energy infrastructure, and build healthier and more resilient communities.
