Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., today sent a letter to the Trump administration urging the declassification of information relating to Attorney General William Barr.
The letter, addressed to National Security Advisor John Bolton and the Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, is a follow up to a letter sent January 16, 2019, before Barr was confirmed, also pressing for the declassification of information related to Barr. The senators, both members of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, have still not received a response from the White House to their request.
Wyden also spoke on the Senate floor in January 2019 over his concerns on the confirmation of Barr for Attorney General, during which he raised his efforts to declassify information about Mr. Barr.
