Senate Passes Heinrich Supported Resolution on National Native American Heritage Month

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Senate has passed a Senate resolution recognizing November 2024 as National Native American Heritage Month cosponsored by U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and led byU.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i), chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), vice chairman of the Committee.

“During Native American Heritage Month, we reflect on the stories, struggles, and triumphs of Native Americans across our nation,” said Heinrich. “I’ll always fight to uphold Tribal sovereignty and self-determination and deliver for Tribal communities.”
