ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – This weekend, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will visit with federal workers and tribal communities impacted by the recent government shutdown.
On Saturday at 10 a.m., Heinrich will join U.S. Representative Deb Haaland at First Nation Community HealthSource to discuss the impact of the government shutdown on health services in tribal communities.
At 11 a.m., Heinrich will speak at the 2019 Roadrunner Food Bank Souper Bowl event.
At 2 p.m., Heinrich will join Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, U.S. Representative Deb Haaland, and volunteers for a cleanup event at Petroglyph National Monument.
On Sunday at 1:15 p.m., Heinrich will host a discussion with Department of Interior employees to hear about how the government shutdown impacted them and their critical work for New Mexico's public lands.
