TAOS, N.M. – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) hosted a discussion with representatives from the Taos Community Against Violence to highlight the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.

Senator Heinrich supported a bipartisan reauthorization of the landmark legislation through 2027 that was included in the Fiscal Year 2022 Omnibus Appropriations Agreement.

This reauthorization will play a critical role in supporting housing opportunities for women.
