Martin Heinrich Raises Flu Vaccine Awareness

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) is encouraging New Mexico families to protect themselves against the flu. In a new Public Service Announcement released today, Sen. Heinrich says, “The flu season is here and it’s important that our families stay healthy… I got my flu shot, have you?”

According to the Center for Disease Control, all persons aged six months and older should be vaccinated annually. Children and seniors with chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease are especially vulnerable.
