Heinrich, Udall Announce National Park Service Centennial Photo Exhibit
Exhibit Features Work by New Mexico Photographer Cody Brothers
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, November 14, from 5:30 p.m.- 7 p.m., U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on National Parks, and Tom Udall (D-N.M.), lead Democrat on the Appropriations Subcommittee for Interior, Environment and Related Agencies, will be the honorary co-hosts of a U.S. Capitol reception in celebration of our national parks. The event will kick off the photo exhibit, National Parks of the American Southwest: A Centennial Portrait, in the Russell Senate Office Building Rotunda.
The exhibit will feature work by New Mexico photographer Cody Brothers and showcase iconic national parks highlighting the natural and cultural heritage of the American Southwest. Brothers was born in Farmington and grew up in Albuquerque until high school. He returned to the state in 2005 and currently resides in the village of Pecos. He and his wife Nikkol own and operate Visions Photo Lab in Santa Fe.
All are welcome to visit the exhibit in the rotunda, on the first floor of the Russell Senate Office Building, during the week of November 14-18, 2016. The exhibit is sponsored by Cody Brothers Photography, National Parks Conservation Association, and The Springs Preserve.
