Heinrich To Question CIA Director Nominee Gina Haspel In Senate Intel Committee Hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  On Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. MT/ 9:30 a.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will participate in a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence confirmation hearing on the nomination of Gina Haspel to become Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The hearing will begin in open session and may move to closed session later in the day. Senator Heinrich has raised concerns with Acting CIA Director Haspel and has made repeated calls for the declassification of information related to her background.
