Heinrich To Participate In Virtual Conversation With Clean Energy For America On How To Supercharge Solar Jobs

WASHINGTON – Today, Wednesday, June 8 at 1 p.m. MT/ 3 p.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Founder and Co-Chair of the Electrification Caucus, will join Clean Energy for America for a virtual conversation on supercharging solar jobs.

Senator Heinrich recently applauded President Joe Biden for announcing new measures to protect the solar industry from new tariffs on components from Southeast Asia and the deployment of the Defense Production Act to bolster U.S. solar manufacturing and jobs. Senator Heinrich led the effort to stop the threat of these job-killing tariffs and bolster domestic solar manufacturing.

The discussion will also feature U.S. Representative Scott Peters (D-Calif.), President and CEO of Solar Energy Industries Association Abigail Ross Hopper, Evergreen Action Co-Founder and Senior Advisor Sam Ricketts. Vice President of Communications and Policy at GoodLeap Julia Pyper will moderate.
