WASHINGTON – Today, Tuesday, February 22, at 12:30 p.m. MT/ 2:30 p.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, will participate in an open hearing to discuss the recent extensive cyberattack that breached the networks of U.S. federal agencies and private companies.
The hearing will feature Kevin Mandia, CEO of FireEye; Sudhakar Ramakrishna, CEO of SolarWinds; Brad Smith, President of Microsoft; and George Kurtz, President and CEO of CrowdStrike.
Senator Heinrich has long been concerned about the vulnerabilities of cyber-attacks and has led bipartisan efforts to strengthen cybersecurity in America and protect against foreign threats. He has pushed for a whole-of-government cybersecurity strategy and engagement between the private and public sectors to make the country’s cyber infrastructure more resilient and secure.
