Heinrich to Hold Press Conference Call to Roll Out Bill to Improve Access for Hunters and Anglers; Grow Outdoor Recreation Economy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will hold a conference call for reporters and editorial writers on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. MT / 4 p.m. ET to announce a bill he’s introducing to improve hunting and angling access on public lands, and to grow the outdoor recreation economy. The announcement comes at the start of hunting season in New Mexico and in states across the country.

Senator Heinrich will be joined by Frank Hugelmeyer, who serves on the board of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership and is the President and CEO of the Outdoor Industry Association, the leading trade association and voice of the outdoor recreation industry; and John Cornell of the New Mexico Wildlife Federation, a 99-year-old conservation organization dedicated to protecting New Mexico’s wildlife, habitat, and outdoor way of life.
