SANTA FE, N.M. - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will travel to northern New Mexico on Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13 to visit ¡YouthWorks! in Santa Fe and participate in a school assembly at Mora High School.
On Monday afternoon, Senator Heinrich will tour the ¡YouthWorks! facility in Santa Fe and highlight the program's recognition as a Bright Spot in Hispanic Education by the White House. ¡YouthWorks! is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides opportunities to work on AmeriCorps projects, education, job training, counseling, and leadership development for young adults.
On Tuesday morning, Senator Heinrich will participate in a school assembly and tour Mora High School, which was just named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education for its success at closing the achievement gap.
