WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will be in Albuquerque today, Thursday, April 2 from 4 to 5 p.m. highlighting free tax preparation services provided by Tax Help New Mexico at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM).
During tax season, Senator Heinrich's office has collaborated with Tax Help New Mexico to assist residents at locations across the state. Tax Help New Mexico, which is operated in partnership between CNM and the United Way of Central New Mexico, is a free service for people whose household income is $53,000 or less or those who are 65 years or older. Tax Help volunteers are certified by the IRS and are trained to help taxpayers identify tax credits for which they're entitled to.
