Will Discuss Expanding Economic Opportunities And Upward Mobility In Hispanic Community In New Mexico, Across Country
WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Thursday, July 14, at approximately 11 a.m. ET/ 9 a.m. MT, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), a member of the Senate Democratic Hispanic Task Force, will speak at the Latino Issues Summit titled, The Rise of the Latino Electorate, where he will discuss the urgent need to expand economic opportunity for New Mexico's Hispanic community.
Speakers at the summit will include U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro, U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez, Senate Democrats, and advocacy organizations. The summit will focus on immigration, voting rights, college affordability, pay equity, and workforce diversity.
