Heinrich To Cohost Virtual Webinar On Restaurant Revitalization Fund Created In American Rescue Plan

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – On Monday, May 3 at 9 a.m. MT, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will join Albuquerque City Councilor Pat Davis to cohost a virtual webinar for restaurants, bars, food trucks and other qualifying businesses impacted by COVID-19 to learn about the Restaurant Revitalization Fund created in the American Rescue Plan. The event will also feature representatives from the New Mexico Small Business Development Center who will cover program details and how to submit an application.

Senator Heinrich helped establish the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) in the American Rescue Plan Act to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. President Biden signed the bill into law last month.

This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023.

The Small Business Administration recently announced that they will begin registrations for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 9 a.m. ET/ 7 a.m. MT and open applications on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 12 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. MT. The online application will remain open to any eligible establishment until all funds are exhausted.
