LAS CRUCES - As part of U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich's ongoing effort to help put New Mexicans back to work, his office will co-host a Job & Career Resource Fair on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Anthony, N.M. Attendees will have direct access to more then 20 regional employers seeking talented candidates in various fields, including health care, telecommunications, hospitality, and construction. Career development organizations will also be on site to help with job placement. The event is free and all are encouraged to attend.
"Nothing is more important than putting New Mexican's back to work and I'm co-hosting this job fair to help connect jobseekers directly to area employers who are hiring," said Sen. Heinrich.
"This job fair is open to the public and is designed to help connect folks with jobs and employment resources in southern Doña Ana County," said Raul Gonzalez of the Rio Grande Council of Governments, who is co-hosting the Job & Career Resource Fair. "In addition to bringing in top employers from the region, we will be providing resources for jobseekers to assist them in preparing for their employment search."
Sen. Heinrich's office is co-hosting the Job & Career Resource Fair with the Women's Intercultural Center, the Rio Grande Council of Governments, Tierra del Sol Housing Corporation, and the City of Anthony to assist individuals looking for employment.
