WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 7 a.m. MT/ 9 a.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will be a featured panelist with U.S. Senator John Hoeven (R-N.D.) at The Washington Post's Energy 202 Live event to discuss energy priorities, the security of America’s energy grid, and ways to combat threats from cyber hackers. The conversation will be moderated by Dino Grandoni, The Washington PostEnergy and Environmental Policy Reporter.
Through his role on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Senator Heinrich has advocated for growing the clean energy economy in New Mexico and modernizing the electric grid. His efforts to secure multi-year extensions of production and investment tax credits have spurred major growth in the clean energy industry in New Mexico. Senator Heinrich has also worked to advance bipartisan legislation to protect America’s energy infrastructure from potentially catastrophic cyber-attacks.
