Heinrich Statement On President Trump's State Of The Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) released the following statement tonight after President Trump delivered his first State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress. Senator Heinrich's special guest this evening was Ivonne Orozco-Acosta, Dreamer and 2018 New Mexico Teacher of the Year from Albuquerque, N.M.

"The President had the opportunity to unite the country tonight. But instead he doubled down on his divisive rhetoric and empty promises. I'm deeply disappointed."
