WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) released the following statement on the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in King v. Burwell to uphold key provisions of the Affordable Care Act:
"I'm very pleased that the Supreme Court upheld the ACA, a law that is already benefitting millions of Americans. Today's decision reaffirms what we already knew; the ACA's tax credits are constitutional. Hopefully this decision means opponents of this law will stop wasting time on trying to repeal it. Tens of thousands of New Mexicans—some for the first time in their lives—are receiving high quality health care at a fair price because of the Affordable Care Act."
