GOP Pollster Frank Luntz and Young Conservatives To Testify at Committee’s Second Hearing

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Thursday, July 25 at 9:30 a.m. MT/11:30 a.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will participate in the Senate Democrats’ Special Committee on the Climate Crisis' hearing titled, “The Right Thing To Do: Conservatives for Climate Action.” The special committee will hear from conservatives who are working to decrease the partisanship surrounding this issue and find a collective path forward. The hearing will be streamed live.

Senator Heinrich has been a leading voice in the Senate on the need to combat climate change. As a member of the Senate Democrats’ Special Committee on the Climate Crisis, he is helping lead the effort to finally take action on real solutions to eliminate carbon pollution, mitigate the devastating effects of climate change, and create a managed transition to an economy run 100 percent on clean energy.

In addition to Senator Heinrich, members of the committee include U.S. Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisc.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), and Tina Smith (D-Minn.).
