WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) are welcoming $112,850 in grant funding to support the San Juan College Harvest Food Hub that increases economic opportunity for local farmers and businesses.
“The San Juan College Harvest Food Hub is a great way for students to learn how to create economic opportunities in their own communities,” said Heinrich. “I’m proud to support this funding that teaches students valuable skills while supporting local farmers and businesses.”
“Increasing access to healthy foods is essential for all New Mexico’s families, and helps support our farmers and our state’s economy,” said Luján. “I’m glad to see that this investment will allow the San Juan College Harvest Food Hub to continue providing fresh, locally grown food that will stimulate New Mexico’s economy and create new opportunities for our young people.”
