WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) will hold a conference call with members of the press tomorrow, Thursday, April 28 at 11 a.m. EDT to discuss provisions within S. 2012, the Energy Policy Modernization Act that enhance opportunities for hunters, anglers, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts, reauthorize key conservation programs, improve access to public lands, and help boost the outdoor recreation economy.
The sportsmen's provisions were added to S. 2012 by a roll call vote of 97-0, and the bipartisan energy bill passed the Senate the next day by a vote of 85-12. A list of the measures in the package is available, here.
