The event is designed to highlight successful community economic development efforts in New Mexico and across the country that are connected to public lands and develop policies and local entrepreneurship opportunities. The outdoor recreation economy directly contributes $9.9 billion in consumer spending annually and employs 99,000 people in New Mexico.
