LEED Platinum Certified Silver Gardens Apartments and Casitas de Colores, June 29, 2015

U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich tours the Silver Gardens Apartments and Casitas de Colores in Albuquerque with the U.S. Green Building Council in an effort to highlight the clean energy economy and energy efficiency programs. Silver Gardens Apartments and Casitas de Colores are LEED Platinum Certified, mixed-income communities uniquely designed using energy conservation strategies. Both communities feature solar panels installed using the federal Solar Investment Tax Credit established by the Energy Policy Act of 2015, and construction was supported by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Low-Income Housing Tax Credits.
