U.S. Senator Heinrich honors two Farmington veterans

FARMINGTON, N.M. – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich honored two veterans in Farmington.

Marine Corps Private First Class Tom Weaver never received a bronze star he earned in Vietnam. Senator Heinrich worked with Weaver’s daughter to get the medal and present it to him.

Meanwhile, Marine Corporal Cameron Haley was shot during an ambush in Afghanistan in 2010. His purple heart arrived damaged in the mail.

He will receive a new medal in November.
