Portales receives $1.8 million in federal funding

PORTALES, N.M. (KFDA) - Federal officials announced a combined $1.8 million in funding for Portales today.

Highlights include U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich said almost $500,000 will come for a new fire rescue engine and $400,000 for sewer lines.

U.S. Representative Teresa Leger Fernandez said another $500,000 will come for Portales and Eastern New Mexico University to make street improvements.
