Over the weekend, I did an interview on MSNBC about the upcoming impeachment trial of Donald Trump and my call for the FBI and the intelligence community to conduct an immediate interagency review on the imminent and pervasive threat of domestic terrorism in the United States.

The Senate is constitutionally required and morally obligated to hold a timely and fair trial in order to bring to light the unequivocal truth about what transpired on January 6, 2021. I was there in the Capitol that day, and I have no doubt in my mind that Donald Trump incited an insurrection against the United States and should be impeached.

There must be justice in order to restore faith in our democracy and heal our country. Then we must all commit to governing fairly, producing results, and creating opportunities for all Americans.
