Remembering their courage

Dear Friend,

 

On Memorial Day, we remember the brave Americans who gave their lives to protect our nation. And we reflect on the sacrifices these men and women made to defend the freedoms we enjoy today.  

 

 

 

For many generations, New Mexicans have answered the call to serve. As Code Talkers and Bataan Death March Survivors during World War II. As Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, and Marines in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Their courage moved our country forward.  

 

In addition to honoring those brave Americans, I believe one of my most important responsibilities as New Mexico’s Senator is to keep America's promise to our service members and their families.  

 

 

I hope you can take a moment to read and share the latest edition of my Veterans Newsletter that provides an update on the work I have been doing on behalf of veterans and military families in New Mexico.

 

Today, I join all New Mexicans and all Americans in recognizing our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
